How you can apply for a Partner visa after marrying your spouse?

When you are married to your Australian Citizen partner and granted for subclass 300 visa, you will be able to apply for your partner visa.

In partner visa Australia basically it has 2 stages. 1st stage apply for a temporary partner visa and then apply for a permanent partner visa. When you are applying for a temporary partner visa actually you are also applying for a permanent partner visa and you will be charged just one visa application by the department of the immigration.

When you have 300 visa granted and you are applying for partner visa subclass 820/801, the immigration department will charge you much less.

You will see your costs for Subclass 300 and Subclass 820/801 is almost same with someone who already applied for partner visa subclass 820/801 without being granted for subclass 300 visa.

Check out this chart to understand more clearly how your visa processing will be done.

You may need to wait around 2 years after getting temporary partner visa to be eligible to apply for a permanent partner visa.
